Here's my nod to Geometry Wars, as far as I could in 4k
I make no excuses for the gratious use of particle effects

Judge’s Comments
Michael: This Geometry Wars clone is very impressive visually, but falls short on gameplay. The various units that come on screen are well represented graphically and full of vibrant colors and the particles in the game can be impressive. However, the method of movement is very tricky on your keyboard and the collision detection seemed very off. Or, the actual location of your fire is not where the game shows it to be. Either way, control is a bit awkward.
Chris: Extremely hectic, I found that I was fighting the aiming mechanic quite a lot, and the enemy waves left little room for dodging. Technically impressive, lots of bullets, buttery smooth and tonnes of particles. Bonus points for the death explosion.
Panayoti: Gorgeous arena shooter obviously inspired by Geometry Wars. I found it incredibly hard to play. I wish the player and bad guys had been smaller so there was more room to engage the enemies, but more importantly, I wanted the movement controls to be relative to the screen, not to the player’s facing direction. I had a really hard time getting basic navigational competency. A technically impressive entry with slicks visuals, but ultimately I could not come to terms with the challenging control scheme.
