I did so many dirty things to get this in under 4k so I might not ever feel clean again, but I did enjoy it immensely! Catch a full writeup on my blog http://prototyprally.com/a-steroids4k/

Michael: This one has a very funky control scheme; your momentum is controlled entirely by your fire. This means that you’re always moving opposite the direction you fire. Learning to manage this is the fun of the game, but there’s not tons to it once you get a grip on that. You also need to collect green dots to reach a goal of 300 total, marking the end of the game. I like that this is sort of avante asteroids, but I still didn’t love it entirely.
Chris: Very fun twist on asteroids, while being visually pleasing at the same time. I really like the ‘chipping’ mechanism, and the twist of collecting the shards to win. Controls were nice and responsive and I like the ‘recoil’ movement mechanic.
Panayoti: This game was a real stand out. I kept coming back to play it over the course of reviewing all the entries. The presentation and gameplay are top notch. I liked that it took some time to really master the controls but it did frustrate me a little at first. The fact that you can chop blocks into independent pieces pretty much blew my mind.

Fantastic game! It definitely deserved to win.
However, it’s not working on my home computer (Flash 9) — is this Flash 10? I thought the rules stated that they had to be Flash 9?

Nevermind — I missed a post on Flashkit where Urbansquall clarified what he meant by the CS3 limitation in the rules: http://board.flashkit.com/board/showpost.php?p=4143908&postcount=82

For some reason I wish to call it best Star Wars game ever.

This just shows what Asteroids could have been
I absolutely love the way the blocks break apart, and the fact that they can be cut into seperate pieces is a very inventive gameplay feature. The ship propulsion is ingenius too.
