I’ve had a problem with receiving a few entries, so I wanted to make sure everyone knew if I had received their entry or not. Please read to make sure I got your entry!

To be honest, when I started this competition I told myself I’d be happy to have 3 entries. Not only are there a lot of competitors, the competition is FIERCE. Some of these entries are truly amazing despite the draconian constraints.
The quality of execution and the joy of seeing how awesome these games are means I’ll definitely be hosting more 4k competitions in the future! I will be looking for more ways to sweeten the prize pot on future competitions because these games are simply amazing!

Definitely. Someone I know wants to run a comp with a slightly different theme so I want to coordinate so that there’s no overlapping schedule, but there will definitely be another 4k coming soon.

Voting for audience prize will begin as soon as the 1st and 2nd place are announced on Friday.

No.. There’s voting. It’ll just start after 1st/2nd place is announced.
I want to be able to lift the gag orders so people can actually start talking about their games without worrying about jeopardizing their entry.

@bL: I think you’re actually correct — urbansquall is playing the role of benevolent dictator in being the (sole?) judge who decides the non-audience prizes (1st and 2nd place) — the public voting for the audience prize begins on Friday after the announcement.

Oops! Read about the problems with the upload too late — ie read the email on 12 March for Mar 9 after the cut-off date. Soooo, I missed out on the contest but my submission was 3.13KB and folks can view the protected version at mochi, kongregate or new grounds.
Thanks for sponsoring this contest … this was fun trying to squeeze a playable game into 4KB.
